Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 for an Olympic contest. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. She would later be Romania's gymnastics coach. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships in which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she won. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. Her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. She began her career with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The shows featured ice skating that included theatrical performances.

As a 2-sport athlete at Brockport she was part in the girls' soccer team as well as the lacrosse team's. Norman is a multi-sport athlete who was a great football player. She played for Brockport on the defense side. Also, she was a great decision-maker when it came time to read the offensive plans of the opposing team. The 2012 Lady Lakers will benefit from the qualities that a freshman can bring for the group. A combination of her superior ball-control and strong mentality will give her an edge in the first year she plays for Finger Lakes. Her talent is likely to be visible as it's considered that she has the tools needed to be a star player at the next-level. Norman is currently majoring in sciences and liberal arts.
